Pumblechook's offers a range of unusual, individually designed and made, precious metal jewellery that you will not find on the High Street. All my pieces are handmade in a tiny workshop in Funtley village in Hampshire under the watchful eye of my two greyhounds.
Because they are hand made, no two pieces are exactly the same. I am happy to personalise items and to discuss commissions if you have a particular idea in mind.
Pumblechook's was set up in 2014 to sell high quality and unusual handcrafted jewellery for men and women at affordable prices. I also began to sell a selection of more hard to find pure copper, silver plated copper and lampwork glass handcrafted beads for jewellery makers via Pumblechook's eBay store.
My current focus is on providing individually designed jewellery hand crafted from Sterling Silver, Gold & Copper; sometimes combined with high quality gemstones. My pieces are crafted using a variety of silversmithing and wire wrapping techniques.
My main aim is to create something unique, quirky and different that will make a visual impact, whilst at the same time being comfortable to wear. Take a look at my Gallery page to see some of my previously sold designs. and variations of current ones.
I am a member of the Association for Contemporary Jewellers (ACJ) and the Guild of Jewellery Designers (GoJD).
All my jewellery is hallmarked by Birmingham Assay Office in line with regulations.
I sell direct to the public at events and craft fairs -please see the Calendar Page for up to date details.
I am often asked where the Pumblechook's name is taken from. It is the name of Joe Gargery's Uncle in Charles Dickens novel "Great Expectations".
I always feel that the quote opposite from "Great Expectations" can equally apply to crafting jewellery from raw materials of silver and gold, wire, bullion and gemstones as well as it does to life experiences.
